The Wheel of Fortune : This is the eleventh card in the major arcana.
It's presence within a spread represents the ever changing fortunes of life.
Just as the wheel is symbolic of continuous movement, so it symbolises how fortunes rotate from highly favourable to less favourable and eventually returning to a more favourable state.
When this card falls in a positive position, it brings new beginnings and good fortune. Recent difficulties are due to end and new opportunities are on their way.
If you have been working on a long term project, you can expect to be rewarded for your efforts now.
When placed less favourably, there will be obstacles to overcome and possibly some unpleasant surprises and mis-fortune. Although this may appear to be a period of 'Bad Luck' remember that as the wheel turns, those that are at the top will also take their turn at the bottom and vice-verse.
Only destiny can decree the speed with which the Wheel of Fortune will turn. If the wheel appears to be moving slowly, perhaps there is a life lesson to be learned first, before it can move faster.
