7th or Crown Chakra :  This is the highest of the seven chakras and is seen as the gateway to our Spirituality. It also relates to Inner and Outer Beauty, Inspiration, Love of Humanity, Creativity and Self-awareness.

6th Chakra

AJNA


Basic Influence :  Intuition

6th or Brow Chakra : Also known as the 'Third Eye' is situated just above the center of the brow ridge, between the eyes.  Deals with areas surrounding Intuition, Understanding , Mysticism and Seeking of the Truth.

5th Chakra

VISHUDDAH


Basic Influence - Communication


5th or Throat Chakra. Obviously situated in the throat region.  Deals with issues surrounding the throat, respiration system, upper digestive tract and thyroid gland.

Associated Colour :  BLUE . Knowledge, Health and Decisiveness.

4th Chakra

ANHATRA


Basic  Influence : Love




The Heart or 4th Chakra - Situated at the centre of the chest. Deals with issues surrounding the Physical and Emotional Heart.


Associated colour : GREEN - Balance, Harmony, Self- control and  Love.

3rd Chakra

 MANIPURA

Basic  Influence - POWER



Solar Plexus or  3rd Chakra :  Situated below the ribs, just above the navel. Deals with WISDOM, CLARITY of THOUGHT and SELF-ESTEEM.

Associated Colour : YELLOW-  Creativity and self worth.


3rd CHAKRA  TRAITS:

Balanced  : Confident, Optimistic, Confident and Good Humoured.

Un-balanced : Inferiority, Pessimistic, Sarcastic, Bad Humoured and Prone to Over Thinking. 

This Chakra also governs the Abdominal Organs.
(Liver, Spleen, Pancreas, Stomach and Small Intestines.)
So any imbalance in this Chakra, may present with symptoms in the Abdominal Region.

2nd Chakra

 SWADHISTHANA

Basic Influence = SEXUALITY


Sacral or 2nd Chakra - Situated in the lower abdomen and pelvic area. Deals with issues surrounding Happiness, Confidence and Utilisation of Resources.

Associated Colour : ORANGE- Success, Self-respect and Zest for Life.

1st Chakra

MULADHARA


Basic Influence = SURVIVAL



Root or 1st Chakra - Situated at the base of the spine.  Deals with Courage, Self Confidence and Vitality. Also known as the Sacral Chakra.

Associated Colour :  RED - Self-awareness, Survival, Stability, Honesty, Spontaneous and Extroverted.

What are Chakras?

I have made reference to Chakras in many of my posts. Here is a brief description of what they are.

Chakras are energy centres situated at strategic points along the spinal column, starting at the base of the spine and continuing through the top of the skull.

If there is one card, above all others, to sound the bells of doom by its appearance within a spread, it is this one.  However, contrary to popular belief, this does not signify yours or any ones impending demise.

No matter how hard you try, it is impossible to stay at the top of your game 24/7 all year round.

There are bound to be times when your self confidence takes a hit.  This can affect your ability to deal with issues, causing you to act out of character.

The time is right to take the Bull by the horns and pick up the pace.

If you have invested time and effort into a project, now could be the time to reap what you have sown. Keep your wits about you for you never know when an opportunity will present itself. When it does, try not to let it pass you by, it could bring a very rewarding outcome.

She is the 'Keeper of Secrets' and Guardian of our Intuitive and Unconscious realms.

Her appearance within a spread may indicate that a secret is about to be revealed.  Perhaps you will learn something new or are you the one bursting to tell?
