5th or Throat Chakra. Obviously situated in the throat region.  Deals with issues surrounding the throat, respiration system, upper digestive tract and thyroid gland.

Associated Colour :  BLUE . Knowledge, Health and Decisiveness.



5th CHAKRA  TRAITS :

Balanced : Loyal, Trustworthy, Calm, Caring, Affectionate, Inventive and Inspirational.

Un-balanced :  Self-righteous, Emotionally Cold, Un feeling, Unfaithful, Lacking Caution.


This Chakra relates to the anatomy surrounding the throat area. Any imbalance in this Chakra can produce symptoms such as, Eating Disorders, Asthma, Throat and Chest Infections etc. Hearing Problems and Tinnitus.

It is the center of our ability to express ourselves.  When in balance, communicating out wants and desires flows freely.  When Un-balanced, we can fail to express our thoughts.  Many people will report a feeling of knowing what they want or need to say, but feel that their words just physically stick in their throats.


BLUE is a relaxing colour to have around at time like this. It is the colour of self-expression and has a soothing effect on the nervous system, resulting in clarity of thought and easing of communication issues.
