Basic Influence = SURVIVAL



Root or 1st Chakra - Situated at the base of the spine.  Deals with Courage, Self Confidence and Vitality. Also known as the Sacral Chakra.

Associated Colour :  RED - Self-awareness, Survival, Stability, Honesty, Spontaneous and Extroverted.


1st CHAKRA  TRAITS :

Balanced :  Security, Strength of will, Courage and Pioneering spirit.

Un-balanced :  Insecurity, Aggression, Fearful and prone to Self-pity and Introverted.


This Chakra also governs the Renal System (kidney's and bladder), Vertebral Column (spine), Hips and Legs and also the Adrenal Gland. (Responsible for the release of Adrenaline - the Fright, Flight or Frolic Hormone.)

Any imbalance in this Chakra can present with symptoms in these areas.
(Constipation, Diarrhoea, Hemorrhoids (piles), Urinary frequency etc.)


The colour RED is believed to draw natural energy from the Earth to give us an energy boost on all levels by connecting us to our physical self.  Consider ways to include the colour RED in your daily life when you feel unsure of your position.
