The Hanged Man : This is the 13th card in the major arcana.This card is not quite as dramatic as it's name would suggest. The figure is hanging by one foot which signifies a temporary set-back of either an emotional or material matter.
You may be about to, or have just entered a period of change in your life. Perhaps a situation has ground to a halt and you can't see the way forward.
The figure still has both hands and a foot free, indicating the ability to deal with the situation and gain freedom from any restraints.
The answer lies in some serious self-sacrifice and an ability to adapt to any changes in circumstance. Whether the sacrifice is of an emotional or materialistic nature, it is a necessary road to travel in order to gain something of greater value in the long run.
There may be a period of ill-health related to stress and or anxiety. Be patient and take the time needed to recover, all will be well. You may feel drawn to seek out some form of spiritual guidance.
When this card falls in it's reverse position, beware of selfishness in others and yourself. Avoid falling into a situation that uses emotional blackmail to get the desired results.
Try not to take the path of least resistance as this can lead you down the wrong path and important opportunities may be missed.
